Welcome Message

Welcome to the world of Studebakers. Whether you grew up around Studebakers, inherited one from someone you love, or just bought one because you thought they looked cool, joining the Studebaker Drivers Club was a good decision. With your membership comes the monthly magazine Turning Wheels, which is worth the price of membership alone. Each edition is chock full of information about our cars and what makes an SDC member tick. And you will find the photography is top notch. Full of tech tips, parts vendors, and stories about life as a Studebaker driver, you will learn what you need to know when you take your Studebaker to an “all makes” car show. You will get plenty of questions as they are sure-fire attention getters.

We call this the Studebaker Drivers Club because we want to see our cars out on the road. We want our members to share the Studebaker story to people that are unfamiliar with a brand of car that went out of production in 1966. For that reason, we don’t want to bicker about how you choose to fix up your car. You may find an occasional purist that fusses about modifying your Studebaker, but I tell you from my experience with this club that they are the exception rather than the rule. And we cherish those purists too for their knowledge of everything that is original to our cars. We even have categories for judging modified Studebakers with modern running gear.

The Pacific South West Zone includes the states of California, Nevada, Utah, Arizona, and Hawaii. Within those states are Regional Managers that will welcome you and provide guidance to the local Chapter that best suits your needs. There is infinite flexibility in which local Chapter you can join, and some members belong to more than one. This page also provides links to all the local Chapters so you can shop around. If you have any problems or questions, Your Regional Manager can help you. Get connected with a local Chapter so you can meet some awesome people that know about your car and what you need to fix it. They can direct you to where you can find the parts you may need. Parts are easier to get than you might expect once you get connected.

You may find, like many of us have, that we join for the cars and stay because of the people. We are very much interested in getting younger members involved in this club. Most of us members, old enough to remember going to the Studebaker Dealership to see the new models, are over 60. We need younger members to carry the Studebaker torch into the future.
