Studebaker Window Roller Repair

Question:

Can anyone help with '61 hawk window rollers?  The arms are ok and the studs going through the window frame seem ok.  I currently have "c" clips on the outside of studs holding the window frame in place. After about 4 cycles they pop off.  The factory original were gone so I don't know what I'm looking for.

Raymond Fichthorn

There is a very high-carbon washer that is supposed to be on each stud.  It is a specific size, and much THINNER than a standard washer.  You MUST have that size/type washer, or they will pop off.

Note:  This is probably for most pre 1962 cars.  Post '62 used nylon rollers.

 Measurements:

 Diameter: 3/4" (Actual .75")

ID: 13/32" (actual measurement .42"... which is slightly larger than 3/8", could be wear.

Washers are available at Studebaker International and possibly other vendors.
